History

Tuobodom Senior High/Technical School was initially established as a Community Day Based School and was running programmes like Visual Arts and others without the General Arts programme.

History narrations states that , for the school to be absorbed by the Ghana Government, it became a condition that the school must run the General Arts programme and that gave birth to it being run in the institution.

In the sphere of total student population, the General Arts students take more than fifty percent (50%) of the entire student population. This postulates that, in terms of population, the Arts Department is the backbone and sustenance of the school

Academic performance as well as WASSCE Results records shows that the Arts Department is second to none. In most cases, about 70% of Ats students qualify for further studies.

The department has produced scholars that have completed various tertiary institutions and some working in various departments in the country. Among such scholars include Mr. Kwame Owusu and Mr. Sakuli Abdulai both tutors in TSTS.

Also, internal prefectorial positions are mostly handled by the Arts students to help run the school.

Expectations

The department is expected to move beyond its limits and achieve greater hights in the future. We therefore employ teamwork, set yearly targets, prepare scheme of work and lesson notes, be punctual and regular to school and class.

The department will persevere to work harder and harder for the betterment of the school and mother Ghana.
